b.l.e.s.s.e.d. truly

rare.
one of the first.
My boy planned a surprise dinner for me on our special day. (:

I was totally clueless about what he had in mind even till I met him.
All I know was we were going to have Western food, and 'expensive' was the hint.

It's been really quite a while since we last spent some quality time together on our 25th.
With the help of the application Phoster, I designed a 'poster' with a little ah hem, poem? that I wrote.

cheesy it may sound but those words were meant for the right person to read. (:

anyways.
We both left work pretty promptly today and met at Bishan MRT station.
still, I couldn't figure what we could possibly be eating at Bishan, plus, it's not really a place I frequent.

Two stops away from our workplace, we both arrived at Bishan at almost the same time.
Then boy said we have to take the circle line.

thinking that i'm usually pretty smart when it comes to guessing, I should have known where we were heading to. But the truth is, I REALLY DON'T KNOW...

All the way till he said we will be alighting at Telok Blangah
even then, I was still pretty uncertain.

THIS,
IS THE PLACE!

Not exactly yet, we had to walk up a slope to the restaurant.

look at the crescent and star right next to it..

this photo doesn't do justice to the place at all!!!

there was a shorter route to the entrance of the restaurant but I chose to walk the sheltered pathway

isn't this prettieeee???

the stairway up to the restaurant

a two-storey mansion, double B;
BIG & BEAUTIFUL!

we were brought up to the second floor and I must say, the servers were all attentive and ready to serve you at any moment.

To a certain extent that I find it a tad disturbing,
having each one of them coming up to our table every few minutes.

bread to start off our dinner.

and the chef came over to speak to us.

ordered a Beef Tenderloin for myself,

and baby got himself some pappardelle with wild boar ragout

some photos before we start eating...

strangely, soup was served after our mains...

their soup of the day, minestrone
I don't like the taste of it, too strong for me!

nothing better to do,
took some photos of its restroom

they even provide listerine for diners

the servings were so small that there was still room for desserts, so we ordered one of their chef's recommendation and proceeded down to the alfresco area

Beautiful lawn that could be used for solemnization

homemade caramelized almond semifreddo

the bill came up to about hundred over for this dinner.
For the ambience and their service, probably worth a second visit.

I wanna go in the day next time round!!!

Anyways.
Thanks baby for making this day even more special than it already is,
Love you baby! (:
