sore legs & heavy eyelids

too much spontaneity this week.

In conjunction with Secretary's Week and Singapore Flyer's 4th Anniversary, my company was invited to their 'Gourmet Fiesta' on Thursday. Needless to say, the core team was invited as they play an important role in supporting all of us in the company. (:

Held at MEGU hall, new items from Kriston's kitchen were served.
Here's my first serving

Jovin and the two important ladies from our Core Team - Rosalind & Vivien

CE Team went along too to check out the event & catering

Food was just decent, or in fact, pretty average, didn't suit my taste buds.

perhaps, to make it up, all of us got a free ride on the flyer! (:

here's the only better shot of the night, beautiful view of MBS and the river.

digressing...
it took me the past one hour plus to type the above cause I was so engrossed in watching the Korean Drama, Master of Study

and it's now 1.19, need to sleep so that I can wake up tmr for CSM Flea Market!!!

good night everyone!

b.l.e.s.s.e.d. truly

rare.
one of the first.
My boy planned a surprise dinner for me on our special day. (:

I was totally clueless about what he had in mind even till I met him.
All I know was we were going to have Western food, and 'expensive' was the hint.

It's been really quite a while since we last spent some quality time together on our 25th.
With the help of the application Phoster, I designed a 'poster' with a little ah hem, poem? that I wrote.

cheesy it may sound but those words were meant for the right person to read. (:

anyways.
We both left work pretty promptly today and met at Bishan MRT station.
still, I couldn't figure what we could possibly be eating at Bishan, plus, it's not really a place I frequent.

Two stops away from our workplace, we both arrived at Bishan at almost the same time.
Then boy said we have to take the circle line.

thinking that i'm usually pretty smart when it comes to guessing, I should have known where we were heading to. But the truth is, I REALLY DON'T KNOW...

All the way till he said we will be alighting at Telok Blangah
even then, I was still pretty uncertain.

THIS,
IS THE PLACE!

Not exactly yet, we had to walk up a slope to the restaurant.

look at the crescent and star right next to it..

this photo doesn't do justice to the place at all!!!

there was a shorter route to the entrance of the restaurant but I chose to walk the sheltered pathway

isn't this prettieeee???

the stairway up to the restaurant

a two-storey mansion, double B;
BIG & BEAUTIFUL!

we were brought up to the second floor and I must say, the servers were all attentive and ready to serve you at any moment.

To a certain extent that I find it a tad disturbing,
having each one of them coming up to our table every few minutes.

bread to start off our dinner.

and the chef came over to speak to us.

ordered a Beef Tenderloin for myself,

and baby got himself some pappardelle with wild boar ragout

some photos before we start eating...

strangely, soup was served after our mains...

their soup of the day, minestrone
I don't like the taste of it, too strong for me!

nothing better to do,
took some photos of its restroom

they even provide listerine for diners

the servings were so small that there was still room for desserts, so we ordered one of their chef's recommendation and proceeded down to the alfresco area

Beautiful lawn that could be used for solemnization

homemade caramelized almond semifreddo

the bill came up to about hundred over for this dinner.
For the ambience and their service, probably worth a second visit.

I wanna go in the day next time round!!!

Anyways.
Thanks baby for making this day even more special than it already is,
Love you baby! (:

grow through life. together.

Gone for two weeks... what have I been doing???
hmm... can't really recall but guess I was either really busy or just plain lazy once again!

emotion took me on a rollercoaster ride
now I recall.
I was pretty upset just few days back, when nothing seems to be pleasant for me.
Relationships especially!

Had a huge fight with boy over some "minor but always seems to cause a fight" issue,
was so disappointed with my gold coast trip,
felt so useless at work,
and all of the sudden, my usual positive self was gone!

And just when I was at the lowest point of my 'then' life, things started to take a turn for the better,
so now, I'm back to the cheerful me,
not totally yet, but at least eighty percent?!!

One of the best things that happened to me last week was this sweet message from my boy,

I was driving when I saw the sms, and I just broke down and started crying.
They were tears of joy and happiness.
And also part of me letting out the unhappy feelings that I have been suppressing.

It's not a proposal yet, I've asked :)
but who cares, I'm already touched by these few words.

No matter how our future will turn out to be,
as long as we have faith in ourselves,
and are willing to,
we'll be able to walk the remaining path together,
hand in hand.

we will both grow through life (:

third day party-I.N.G

felt as though I have played too hard for the past few days that I kinda need a break from it,
a day to stay at home, unpack my bags, tidy my room, and gear up for the fight next week at work!

This whole week has just been an awesome one!!!

Mond-ae & Tues-ie were spent away at SPOM (Senior Police Officer Mass) for
Client Experience Team Offsite, it's gonna be a yearly affair going forward,
an intense discussion on how we could improve our current work and prepare for the new challenges ahead!

Like I say, it was INTENSE so I didn't even have time to take much photooos,
here's one when we took a small breather

DRAW SOMETHING

And Gary was so bad at drawing that we couldn't even make out what he was trying to illustrate!

Val tried drawing the venice gondola but her teammates weren't able to figure that out too!

So in the end, our team won!!!

After a fruitful discussion, we wanted to have something better for dinner so Ric brought us to this, apparently, HAINANESE restaurant for good steaks.

a group photo before dinner was served, and boy, was it sinful!

look at my surf and turf - Steak with salmon, and it comes with a baked potato.

guess the food must be really good that these guys were fighting for the steak

and to reset our taste bud with some chocolate-y food, those whom topped up their meal with a set were served their home-baked brownie.

With such a filling dinner, we headed back to our chalet and decided that the night was pretty much still young,

so,

we went for a singing session in their KTV room, it was free but the karaoke system was really old.
the system went down a few times while they were singing to their heart's content.

Perhaps we were just trying to push our limits, it was one plus in the morning
when these people were still up, playing card games,
excitedly.

the best part was how they were bent on making the game more interesting by using Pringles chips as CHIPS!

SEE! all broken into smaller pieces!!!

Alright, that kind of concluded the first days of the week.

On wednesday, boy bought tickets to the WICKED
we tagged along with six of his colleagues and it was MY FIRST TIME meeting them.
again, a night that ended late with supper at swee choon!

And just yesterday, team adrenalin was invited to Shairul's brother wedding at Pasir Ris.

It was actually my first time attending a Malay wedding!
Traditional Malay cuisine were being served

slowly after lunch, that's when photo-taking session begins

From the left, Michael, Robert, and James

Kathy and Gary

Myself and Eunice with Ric at the back

Me and Rosalind

All of us!

Eunice and Myo,
what's with his intense look? HHA!

and of course, me and my boy!

here comes the very important people of the day, the bride and groom

Right after this wedding, another group was waiting for us in town.
My dearest bestie, wanted to, once again, celebrate her birthday at a KTV!
so off we went, to this Cash Studio Family KTV at cuppage plaza.

Dinner at Javier where food were not spared,
look below for the amount of food we tried consuming

Here's mine! $8.90 for this big pile of food

Sharon's & Kel's

This insane one belongs to Anthony & Ivan!

I can't help but feel a little affected looking at the amount of food wastage on other tables,
guess it's typical of us to take more than what we can really eat.
I hope this restaurant partners with some eco company to turn these food waste into useful products such as fertilizers or something, if I'm not wrong, such companies do exist!

In an attempt to clear the plates, we played the game of guessing the number.
The one whom guess the number that was pre-selected will have to eat one item off the plate,

the ultimate loser whom had to finish the garlic bread!

For today, I'm heading to the new mall, Jcube!
Finger crossed that there won't be huge masses of crowd.
a trip to the library sounds good too
and of course, I'm gonna do some nail painting again! :D
